About Medgame.org

 

Medgame.org is a web site designed to provide a resource for medical education. This site hosts the original Pediatric Boardgame, created by Dr. Paul Ogershok at WVU. An article published in the AAP news about the game can be read by clicking here.

In the summer of 2002, an online version of this boardgame was created by Jeremy Kendrick, currently a Pediatrics resident in Utah, with the assistance of Dr. Chris Maloney at Primary Children's Medical Center. An additional boardgame design was created in addition to the Pediatric Boardgame layout. The game and the web site have been studied as they apply to the education of medical students.

An updated version of the web site was developed in the spring of 2007. The updated site adds the functionality of easily editing questions sets for use with the boardgame. Anyone interested in creating a question set can contact the web site administrator. A question set can easily be added. Once the set is created, questions can easily be added, edited, or deleted from the newly created interface.
